Most Anticipated Books for 2018

I am very patient when it comes to books, when the author says the next installment would take years, I do wait. I spend my whole year discovering novels while waiting for the next release but I would always look at my list and be excited for my own most anticipated reading list, it’s a nice feeling. Though the year 2017 was quite different, there were some big events happened and I know that it’s lame to say but reading wasn’t really my priority. I traveled twice last year visiting two countries in Asia and I had innumerable life changing trials in my personal life. So now for my 2018, I once again took the 2018 Reading challenge. as ambitious as it maybe, I put fifty to sixty books for the entire year! I am starting my list with some few upcoming YA novels.  I recently joined a group so I can explore and read new books via Net Galley before they even publish and soon I will start sharing those here in the blog.

Note: I will list down all the names of the books; in case no description it only means that those books are so popular. (Everyone is forestalling those novels too 🙂 )

  1. Legendary by Stephanie Garber (May 29, 2018)-

I am so excited for this next installment! I am seriously yearning for this one, following the story and journey of Scarlett’s younger sister Tella on her perilous bargain with Legend. Have you guys read Caraval? I remember I was reading the book to its last page hoping for Legend’s part but holy macaroons! It was not there! hahaha His story is even more thrilling and I can’t wait for the day of release.  😀

Caraval master Legend is a seemingly magical character in the novel Caraval. His story seemingly starts off as any story: with love. He wanted to be a famous magician and caraval master, to save up enough money to be able to marry the love of his life. He went to a witch, who told him she could grant one wish, to either be able to marry her, or to have a legendary Caraval. He could have one, but not the other. He thought if he was famous, his girlfriend would love him even more, so he therefore chose to be famous. But when that wish was granted, he was no longer the same man. She didn’t love the man he had become, and she ended things with him and married another man.

  1. Throne of Glass 7 (Coming on Fall 2018) –

The ending of the Empire of Storms was shocking and Maas for sure will never disappoint her readers. I am on the lookout mode for its cover and title. 🙂

  2. A Court Of Thorns and Roses book # 4

A Court of Thorns and Roses book # 4 ( Expected publication by Bloomsburry in 2019, as per Goodreads)

  3. The Cruel Prince by Holly Black

Published date was actually last January 02 but then here in the Philippines we will still have to wait for weeks or months for the availability.

  4. Beneath the Haunting Sea by Joanna Meyer (January 9)

Talia is an empress-to-be in exile, whose mother died just after their banishment, sacrificing herself to the sea she believes, is hunting them in order to save Talia. Orphaned and adrift, she finds herself in the care of a baron whose son, Wen, she’s expected to marry. Soon Talia and Wen are searching for answers about the deaths of both her mother and his, which leads to a dark revelation: a death goddess is keeping the dead captive beneath the sea, and it’s up to Talia to rescue them.

Thanks for reading! What’s your reading challenge for 2018?

  1. Sounds like 2018 is going to be a great year. I honestly can’t read a series until the whole thing is completely written. I just can’t tolerate the wait between books. It kills me. And there’s nothing better than binge-reading a whole entire series without coming up for air. But waiting is really hard too, especially for these long series. I’m looking forward to hearing what you think of these books. Happy Reading.
